Primera dia en Buenos Aires

We arrived in Buenos Aires at 9:30 yesterday morning. We had a taxi waiting for us because Hostel Sandanzas http://www.sandanzas.com.ar/ called one for us. Mucho gusto. One hour later we met Isabel Campos at Cafe Tortoni. They say Buenos Aires is the "Paris of South America" and Cafe Tortoni makes you feel like you're in a European cafe. We walked through Plaza de Mayo and saw the Pink House aka Argentina's White House. Isabel,Kyle, and I wandered through BA to find a museum full of cool Latin American art. We never did find the museum but we saw Plaza de San Martin and found ourselves in Recoleta. This barrio contains an oppulent, above ground cemetary where the famous Evita is buried. It's a maze of small streets where one can wander around and get lost. Many pictures to come...

We met Isabel's sister, Dana, and her boyfriend, Esse for our first late lunch. (4pm!) We ordered STEAK! Muy delicioso!

The rest of the night was a struggled to stay awake and fling ourselves into the Buenos Aires way of life: light breakfast at 11, lunch at 2 or 3,dinner at 10, sleep at 2am. We made it with the help of Isabel and company.

Will post pictures later!
