Buenos Aires - Part 2

No internet for the last couple of days, so sorry for keeping all of you staring at your computers for the last 48 hrs....

Day 2 in BA- lots of walking all over the place. We saw plaza after plaza after plaza. We met Isabel and BA friend Esse for lunch on the east side of the city. There is a huge university and a revitalized port that is excellent for a stroll and lunch...at 3 pm. Strangely enough we had Mexican food but it was excellent! After our lunch we walked around an ecological reserve and watched the sun set over the city. We think it was about 4 miles around the reserve. We took pictures of the river between Uraguay and Argentina, Argentine corn, huge birds, and little nutria. (guinea pigs?) However, this is the first functioning computer we have found and it doesn´t have a usb port to upload pics. The keyboard is wack.

That night we hung out with Isabel, her sister, and their friends from Tufts. Pizza!

Day 3--The highlight was the Latin American Museum of Modern Art. We saw the Cherry Creek area of Buenos Aires (Palermo) and said goodbye to Isabel. We went back to our hostel for free tango lessons! Of course we were the stars of the class. Ha! The teacher took us to a local tango joint to try our skills. It was intimidating because these people looked amazing. The owner of the place shut off the music to yell at people twice!!! She kicked them out for being stupid and berated them in front of everyone. So of course, that really encouraged us to get on the dance floor. We eventually unglued our bottoms from the chairs and tried it out. We didn´t get kicked out! Apparently they only kick you out for not taking it seriously but not for looking ridiculous.
