Primera Clase = Bueno, Other Buses = Crappo

After a few laid back days in Mendoza, we´re headed to Salta. Mendoza was fun - probably mostly becaue of the amazing hostel and great people that we met (Irish, Aussie, English...), but we´re ready for something new. We´d like to visit Medoza again in summer when we could do lot´s of hiking and explore Acongagua National Park (highest peak in the Americas).

When we got the bus for the long (19 hr) trip to Salta, it looked prety much the same as the previous bus that we took to Mendoza. However, looks can be deceiving. Everything on the bus was broken and it took them almost 2 hours to figure out how to turn off the heat. We got a bit of sleep and time actually passed pretty quick once we got going.

In the morning in Salta, we found our hostel and went out to explore the city. It is very different than the other places that we´ve been. It has much more of an Andean influence in the architecture, as well as the look and culture of the people. Everyone here seems very nice and helpful. We´re hoping for a traditional meal tonight (maybe llama) and we´ve booked a tour up into the Andes for tomorow. It will go up to about 13,500 feet, so I´m sure it will be muy frio.
